Not the same as military style BDU caps.
I'm used to BDU hats that I can find at military stores that have an inner layer and an outer layer to hold the shape of the cap as the inner layer is slightly smaller than the outer layer , creating a rigid structure (not rounded at the top fillet of the cylinder). Also, most military grade BDU hats are made from 50% poly, 50% cotton, and ripstop poly. These are single ply cotton. They should fit most people, but if you're looking for military-style BDU hats, keep looking.
