I've been playing my Wii with it, mostly GameCube games, but I've tried a few Wii games that support it, it works fine. I didn't notice any lag, but I don't use it for competition shots. It connects very easily, if you don't use it for 5 minutes, it will disconnect automatically, sometimes just power cycle it will reconnect, sometimes not, so you need to drag the transmitter to Wii port again it in and out. . I've used a wired or classic controller in the past and prefer it for its ease of use. Wireless, the controller is pretty accurate compared to the original GameCube, but it's a third-party controller that's never exactly the same, it's not a Wavebird but in good condition. $70-100 and up. So for $20 it's a great way to get back to the Wii. I'd like something in between like $35-$45 and a better design or both.
