Gamecube/Wii Wireless

I've been playing my Wii with it, mostly GameCube games, but I've tried a few Wii games that support it, it works fine. I didn't notice any lag, but I don't use it for competition shots. It connects very easily, if you don't use it for 5 minutes, it will disconnect automatically, sometimes just power cycle it will reconnect, sometimes not, so you need to drag the transmitter to Wii port again it in and out. . I've used a wired or classic controller in the past and prefer it for its ease of use.

Look elsewhere for a better controller.

So it arrived today and I have to say I have a big problem. The left trigger tends to get "sticky". Not physically, but the controller recognizes that I'm holding the left trigger even though I released it. To fix this I need to move the trigger away from the front of the controller so it fires. It's a huge pain when I play something like Metroid Prime. I guess I was just unlucky with a defective product. Update: Well it got worse. Now he just refuses to let go of the trigger. I've tried…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I can't fault it, everything is fine

Good price for a wireless controller.

Let's get a few things out of the way: 1. It's nothing compared to the wave bird which is much more expensive but obviously of better quality.2. Yes, it is a 3rd party controller. If it bothers you, just don't buy it.3. If 1 or 2 bothers you, then try not to read any further. If you're still reading, this controller might be for you. The box it came in was damaged and a bit old, but it has good range (I played it 10-12ft from the TV), good battery life, and easy pairing with the wifi adapter…

Works for GC games on Wii and seems good value for money.

Edit: I lowered my rating to 3 stars for two reasons. First, the left stick has some calibration centering issues. In other words, sometimes the position of rest is registered as an upward or downward movement. In tricky platform games this is deadly. In most cases, this can be fixed by turning off the controller, slightly pushing the stick in the problematic direction, and then turning it back on. But that shouldn't happen. Second, the grip position is too perpendicular (parallel), which…

It is what it is. Best of Controllers

So I just got myself one of those Gamecube HDMI converters. The Eon is $150 but I have a Carbi adapter that is $75 and is just as good! (I would give Carbi 5 stars) I took out my Gamecube and found I only have an original Gamecube controller and I'm pretty far from my seat. I also have a 2 year old nephew. And the cord + nephew did not mix. (He kept tugging at it, and I also bent down a bit to get far enough). Unfortunately when I was looking for a good controller - there are now a million of…
