Edit: I lowered my rating to 3 stars for two reasons. First, the left stick has some calibration centering issues. In other words, sometimes the position of rest is registered as an upward or downward movement. In tricky platform games this is deadly. In most cases, this can be fixed by turning off the controller, slightly pushing the stick in the problematic direction, and then turning it back on. But that shouldn't happen. Second, the grip position is too perpendicular (parallel), which causes my arms to cramp after a while. Compare this to the PDP Fight Pad Controllers for WIi (now discontinued) and you will see that the PDP Fight Pad is much more comfortable for advanced gaming. I've never had the chance to use the original Wavebird controller, but now I'm using this copy of WaveDash and I find it works very well. I saw some reviews mentioning the joystick sensitivity, but I didn't notice any lag or control issues in normal games. (On the other hand, I might not play the same games, so there may be issues with games that require really different levels of how far the stick is pushed.) , a bit heavy. With this controller you can play Gamecube games on the Wii. I see worn out original Wavebirds with parts missing selling for way more than this new controller and it seems a little odd. I think this controller is worth considering.
