We bought 2 of these for my father-in-law and his new "pet" Roomba we got him for Christmas. He is old, widowed, lives alone and suspicious of modern technology, but seems amused by his new "pet", but of course this pet roamed his house, and my father-in-law Phil lost him many times. . He got on all fours and found Roomba in all parts of the house and under a variety of things. Personally, we don't think that's a bad thing because 1) he seems quite attached to Roomba, 2) it gives him some talking points when he meets his older male friends for coffee, 3) it gets him up and moving, which is a good thing thing is, and 4) he's amused by all the places he's found Roomba. But hopefully the Roomba bumpers somehow cornered this creature! The Roomba and its bumpers do exactly what they were designed to do - it cleans floors, it knows where their Roomba is (most of the time) and the fact that they find it fun, funny and interesting is an added bonus!
