The boots were very comfortable from the start. I really like the zipper which helps to put them on when I'm old and flexible like I used to be. I really liked the flatter style which also eliminated some lower back issues for me. I replaced the insoles with good orthopedic insoles, but again that was due to years of stress on the back, not the boots. And found them easy to wear with any casual business wear, jeans, casual parties. Really comfortable and good looking boots, some young people even asked me where I found the cool boots.
