Great move. Exactly what I was looking for and it will save me from the risky balancing act I have mastered but I know trouble is never far away. Especially for a 50 year old guy. The bolt is just as strong, but it wasn't long enough for my trailer. I never knew how hard it was to find a zinc plated or stainless bolt over 6 inches in diameter. So I bought zinc at the hw store at the moment. The original U-bracket is strong but just doesn't fit my trailer. The step is definitely worth it. A friend saw it for the first time today and was jealous.
