I usually use a Revlon hair dryer. I have to say while most people think the Revlon is a "cheap lousy" dryer, I thought it was a good one. I thought I never realized how loud it was until I got this one. I was afraid to receive it but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. You really need to do the up and down slide buttons because when you hold these you sometimes push the buttons while blow drying. However, I've noticed that all the hair dryers I've been torn between had knobs like this.
