It's better than I expected

I read the reviews before buying and as usual they were mixed but I decided to try it because I don't have much space. Well I love these. I microwaved them with no problems (don't know what that other person is talking about in their review, they have absolutely no metal in them, do they even have any? That gray strip of hard plastic.) and just throw them in great the dishwasher. The plastic is flexible and slightly rubbery, and will withstand the use of a fork and knife to eat leftovers right out of the container, from spaghetti to pork chops. Of course I'm not trying to pierce plastic, so YMMV. I'm most impressed because I bought them specifically for use with foods that tend to discolor like pasta sauce. And the first time I used it the inside turned into a regular tomato coating, but then when I took it out of the dishwasher it was gone! I won't say they look new but there are almost no stains. Usually this stain stays there forever, it may lighten up, but it's there. I see a faint hint of a stain, but that's it. I've had them for a few months now and every time they hold something that stains it's the same: I'm like, ok, that's it, now it's colored forever, but then I'm pleasantly surprised when I get it take out of the dishwasher. . They're a little awkward to use at first, I tend to press down on the lids to seal them. All you have to do is place them on top and then squeeze the side clips until they click into place. There is a stiff band around the top that they snap onto. My fiance almost made a mess when he crashed into one of them and the sides buckled because the heck they were designed to collapse but he was good when I showed him not to push. When cooking in the microwave, simply remove the small knob and then also open the side clips once everything is in the microwave, otherwise the lid may warp a bit. I warped one from just removing the button, it works fine but it doesn't deform if you just loosen the clips from the cover. The buttons can be a bit tricky to replace, you have to put them in, but they come back.

Pros
  • Storage and organization
Cons
  • Reliability
