Remove from the plastic bag immediately upon receipt! It's a gift so I couldn't wash it, but I did put a warm dryer on with lots of paper towels to soften the wash. It's been hanging in my guest room for a few weeks now. Smells a lot better. I hate that there are no 'made in', 'how to wash' tags etc. No labels at all. However, it smells so cute and the colors are so pretty. Hope my granddaughter likes it. Very soft.
