Bad design for my opinion

This is for the 5" clamps. The clamps would not compress the joints. I tightened the clamps until the nut could not be turned. The end of the saddle spread instead of compressing they joint. This occurred with 3 joints. See picture. I had to purchase 3 clamps with the saddle ends welded. They worked with no problem. In removing the first clamps the u-bolt snapped because they had been tightened to the point of stripping/jamming the threads and it still wouldn't compress the joints.

Good Clamp. Fit my 2014 dodge ram engine 5.7L pipe to header Y connection.
