The bristles were well attached to a smooth handle that was easy for a man to hold. I used a 2.5" to paint the door. I didn't clean it right away and after soaking it in mineral oil, separating the bristles and soaking it in hot water and dish soap for a while it was like new again , I won't make that mistake again!
