Great Concept, Poor Execution

I wanted a shelving and tool system for my garage. When I saw this I decided to give it a try. Here's what I found: 1. The metal used is quite thick, making the components unexpectedly heavy. It's not bad, just something to be aware of.2. This is a categorical prohibition by building codes in the United States. The studs in the wall are 1.5 inches wide when completed and 16 inches apart on the center. As you can see in the first picture there are NO other holes in 2.x4 if you place the first hole in the middle of 2x4. That means you'll be putting screws into the drywall and the weight won't hold anywhere. Review that this system offers! The only safe way to install this railing system in a US standard home is to install 2x6 on studs and then install that block in 2x6. The supplied dowels are NOT for drywall, but for concrete blocks. In a concrete block this might work well. I wouldn't dare put it in a brick.3. Shelves and tool holders are designed to slide in from the top and then push down to snap into place. The problem is that the tolerances are slightly off and while the blocks are in place they are NOT flat and will not snap. This can make installation and relocation difficult. The work is to pull as much as possible so that it grabs. Be aware that it may pop out or if you want to move it will be difficult to let go to move. Overall, the concept of the device is good, but the execution is not. I would NOT recommend this device unless you are willing to put in a lot of work to get it working properly. Be careful if you don't secure each strut with at least two rivets!
