Review on 🖊 Nintendo 3DS XL Replacement Stylus Pen Set - 5-Piece Black by Tim Purdie

I wanted an official replacement from Nintendo (which seemed so cheap at first) but then I saw the exorbitant shipping costs they charge and how long it would take. This item (or these items, I'm guessing since there are only five of them) was about the same price with free and fast shipping. Now there were rough spots at the top of each pin. If that might bother you, I recommend filing it down (careful, you have five tries to get it right). I wish the tip was more precise, but it's definitely precise enough and nicely rounded to avoid possible damage to the touchscreen. Also, it appears to be a sensible soft plastic that is unlikely to damage the screen. I haven't had much experience with it yet, but it seems to be holding up well and getting the job done. It's also worth noting that this thing REALLY gets stuck in the slot. Trying to pull it out with a finger proves tricky, but if you just hook the tip of your nail instead, it oddly pops out. Some others recommend threading a small string or something through the hole in the top for easy removal, but I don't see the need for that if you can get the hang of it with your fingernail (and mine are short). My final comment is just a reminder that they are for Old 3DS XL. They work on the newer model but they will NOT fit the slot. So make sure it is the right product for your device. If you are not sure, check the back of your device. Older models printed in 2010 while newer models should be in 2014-2015 if I'm not mistaken. You can also google images of each and compare the design and button layout to your own. And just in case it's not obvious, these pens aren't designed for any version of DS, 2DS, or standard 3DS. They ONLY fit the old 3DS XL.
