Review on Dell P2419HC Monitor Full 1080P 23.8", USB Hub, ‎DELL-P2419HC by Peter Follansbee

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost perfect if you want to plug your laptop into a single outlet.

This is a monitor to buy if you are a laptop user and only want to connect one thing to your laptop for power, audio/video connections etc. Basically you get a powered dock and a quality monitor for the price of a dock - powerhouse. Once I found that out, I knew this was the monitor I needed. I have a few complaints that are pretty minor and not enough to deduct a star from it. Firstly, I wish the Dell Soundbar mounted at the bottom of the screen rather than at the base of the monitor. It just looks less clean with the socket attached to the base. Second, I wish there was some sort of clip for attaching the webcam so it doesn't overlap the screen. At the same time, the tiny bezel is great for a dual-monitor setup, which is probably worth the trade-off. Third, while I love the convenience of having two USB ports on the side (in addition to the two on the back), those side USB ports are useless in a dual-monitor setup. At the same time, with 2 monitors you would still have access to 6 USB ports for connecting peripheral devices, which should usually be sufficient, but buyers should be aware of this. Again, if you're looking for a single-port solution to dock your laptop and keep it charged while all your peripherals are plugged in and ready to go, then this monitor is for you. Flaws are minor, but everything else is of a high standard. The monitor's aesthetic is stylish and understated—no glossy surfaces, huge logos, or flashy pops of color. Thank you Dell!
