My daughter was dying for waffles for brunch on Saturday morning. I have a mini dash waffle maker and it's good so I decided to try the big one. It is easy to use and easy to wipe clean after cooling. There are no pretty buttons. You literally plug it in to turn it on, which is basically high, and then to turn it off, pull it out. The red light is on and when the iron is hot you can vaguely see the illuminated green button. For $39.99 this is a reliable and easy to use waffle maker compared to more expensive Cuisinart etc. I give it four stars because if you like Belgian waffles like I do with their crispy texture this iron leaves a lot to be desired . You'll definitely have a cooked, slightly crispy waffle, but there's something about the crispiness of Belgian cuts that I miss about this iron.
