I am returning this device (model TX 3.5" USB 3.0). If I'm connected to a USB 3.0 port and copying files, at some point during the copying process (usually within the first 10 seconds) my copy will "hang" or freeze completely. The only way I can get my system to do the Canceling the copy process is by unplugging the usb. This is very annoying. I've tried different 3.0 ports and different computers and drives just to make sure it's not something on my end, but I got the same results. I still have a USB 3.0 the case I use and it has always worked fine I think I should have bought another one Oddly enough it works fine with USB 2.0 -connectors. But I'm copying hundreds of gigabytes for various backups, and I'm doing it at USB 2.0 speeds, which just won't match. On the other hand, it works well with large drives (3TB I used mostly). I've also seen the same issue that others have noticed with the case getting a little loose after attaching the backplate. You just can't screw it tight enough for the aluminum to fit snugly against the front and rear plastic ends. A little annoying, but not super critical. although this speaks volumes about their overall quality.
