Review on Armytek Uni C2 Plug Type C by Wiktor Ambroziak ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

For the batteries I have of the same (Armitek) brand (18650 Li-ion 3.7V), the charger automatically set the battery type to LiFePO4 3.7V. Since there are no other "3.7V" modes on the charger, I used this mode, as an ordinary not very experienced citizen, until problems with the operating time from the battery charged in this way clearly began to arise. Having charged it (battery) from the USB charger attached to the kit, I again saw the long and continuous functioning of the device when working from this battery. And after consulting with a more experienced friend, I found out that batteries with a rating of 3.7V need to be charged with a higher voltage, which he did safely using my charger and monitoring the charging indicators with a multimeter. Hence two questions - about the incorrect operation of auto-detection (when working with their own Armitek batteries); and about the reflection of this moment (charging modes of standard 18650 batteries 3.7V) in the instructions (where this is not reflected). Yes, you need to be careful with spring-loaded bottom contacts. At first it didn’t bother me, then one day the round stops began to unbend.

Pros
  • Simplicity, versatility
Cons
  • Opacity of some functions, bendable back contacts
