30 years ago I bought the Eagle Creek backpack which is smaller as part of the unit and I really wish they would still make it. As I have traveled extensively it has always met my needs but carrying it on my back was a little annoying at times. The new backpack, while only 2 inches shorter in height, holds about half of what was in the old one. it's nice to take a backpack with you when travelling, throw it over your shoulders and step off the plane or train, but i look forward to the bikes once you get out of the crowd.the seller was quick and the shipping logistics and i have it great get indentation. I just wished for more capacity. A smaller detachable backpack came in really handy a couple of times and would have been a nice feature. Asking for estimates on durability, strength comes when I have time to use it, can't answer honestly at the moment.
