The base you sit on is very comfortable and wide enough for fat men with their hips to sit comfortably. Measurements: Measurements are exactly as described. The 32" height fits perfectly with our 43" bar. Appearance: The appearance of the chairs is clean. The cushion has no cracks and most importantly no dents or scratches on the stool legs. Safety/Reliability: The screw holes were well spaced and none of the screws showed any signs of stripping when I tightened them. I swayed aggressively when seated and didn't feel like I was shifting. I'm married to a certified Mexican fat man. That means I have to make sure our seating options can reliably support it without collapsing under pressure. 10/10 recommended for any woman married to a fat man who needs a comfortable place to sit while watching you wash dishes or cook.
