Kismet looks cute and innocent. But she's a clawed villain! She loves scratching the arms of my sofa and chairs and resists bottled water and other disciplines. They are made of thick plastic that easily attaches to the armrests of furniture. The plastic is flexible enough to bend around your hands. Kismet has been foiled! She looks at the plastic with contempt and continues to scratch other items (like my home theater screen --- ACK). Of course she twists her thin nose out of the cat's claws! These furniture protectors were easy to put on and had small holes in the corners for nails. The manufacturer recommends not using it on leather and I can see where the nails leave marks on the leather.
