I bought this device on purpose because it has an activity light and supports USB 3.0. The price was right. I'm seeing at least read speeds of around 90MB/s, which is definitely faster than USB 2.0. I don't have any faster SD cards to try, so I don't have a way to test max throughput. However, this at least confirms that it connects via USB 3.0 rather than faking it, as I've seen another claim in a review with no proof. when reads are complete. OFF = not connected to host or card not recognized. ON = Connected, card detected, no activity. FLASHING = Connected, card recognized, reading or writing in progress.
