Excellent camera with great picture quality (better than my latest high quality commercial grade 4MP NVR camera where each camera costs 4 times as much as this Eufy), night vision, very wide field of view and very easy installation with a very strong magnet (see cons below) and a long USB cable. At night, the searchlight is responsive and provides continuous color night vision. Two-way audio is also a great feature. The camera looks well protected from the weather. Notifications are instant and the person detection rate is currently 100%. There is a beta pet detection setting that doesn't work for cat detection in my experience - I don't know about larger pets. The camera worked fine for about a week and then behaved strangely: every morning it stays in black and white mode, where it doesn't start recording motion and doesn't send notifications. I just noticed this because I had people in my driveway but didn't get a notification. The video stream is still in real time, but only in b/w. Sometimes this happens at night and for now the only solution is to restart the camera. This has been happening for several days now. This is a camera issue as I have noticed the same behavior on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and none of my Indoor Cam 2k are showing this issue. The reset is a hassle as you have to pull out a long ladder to get to the camera and reset button which requires you to reconfigure the camera due to the magnetic mount which wouldn't be necessary with a fixed mount (it really should be in provided in the box). There should also be a software reset option, rather than a physical button on the camera where you also have to open the microSD card's protective film, which isn't great if you do it often. I hope it gets fixed - and maybe soon. At the moment it's completely useless for intruder detection until this is fixed. Hence my generous 3 star rating which I will have to downgrade to 1 star if this can't be remedied. Otherwise a solid 5 star device. UPDATE: Eufy technical support responded to my query very quickly within a few hours. They asked me to send a video for analysis and a few days later they sent me a new camera to test. However, this had the same error and the technical support pointed out a possible problem with the firmware and provided a new firmware 1.0.2.6 within 3 days! This one fixed this weird behavior and now the camera works great. They even let me keep the original camera. I highly recommend this camera and if you need technical support Eufy's response is fantastic!
