Great product! I will buy it again.

I still have never installed recessed lighting but have done electrical work so I know what I'm getting in. Light.Perfect for the bedroom or kitchen. The template provided is absolutely correct and requires no further cutting.I used an adjustable drywall circular saw, to cut the ceiling but I used the template to adjust the blades. It came out amazing and I love the look and the brightness. Also the lights work with some dimmers.I have a Leviton dimmer from Homedepot and it works great. no flickering. I plan to buy extra lights and use them as spares. if they decide over the course of time to hide. They seem well built and stable so far, but who knows what will happen in a few years. One piece of advice I can give you is to get (2 per light) 3/8" plastic knockout plugs. You'll need them for your metal box when guiding the Romex in and out. The box is made of very thin sheet metal. If you don't use plugs, they will cut the wire and may short out the 120V wire. You don't want this to happen to your ceiling. Anyway, these forks were a nightmare, but worth it. A short in a wire in the ceiling can easily cause a fire, so take every possible precaution. In addition, these plugs allow you to carry out electrical work in accordance with electrical standards. Again, I'm not an electrician, but I'm an engineer and I know what I'm doing. Please check with your local electrician to be sure. But better safe than sorry. I would like the lights to come with these plugs. These forks cost nothing in China. Again, this may not be part of the electrical code elsewhere, but it is here in the US. It would have saved me a trip to Homedepot when I was in the middle of a project. I chose the color temperature of 3000K because it looks most like an incandescent bulb. I think this is the warmest type of light to use in the home. If you need it for office, you can choose 5000K. Instead, you get bluish light. Otherwise I would give this product 6 stars if I could.

Cons
  • Not bad, but...
