Review on Enhance Riding Stability with COMPOSITI Reflex 3D Wide Track Stirrups by Randy Brimmer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Interesting design, economical

I heard about a girl in a barn after a couple of her friends bought it. I've always used regular steel stirrups but was looking for something lighter and safer... but definitely didn't want to spend $300 on fancy ones. Composti stirrups are very light and wide. The insole honestly doesn't flex or twist much, if at all, and creaks a bit, but it's comfortable. I had the pleasure of falling into them after a failure and my foot came out easily. One caveat: the edges of the plastic are a bit sharp in places, so use covers if you don't want to scratch the poppet valves. (It might be possible to smooth the edges with a rotary tool or an emery board, but I haven't tried it yet.)

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Crumpled
