Clean and simple in the area of computers and accessories

I needed a Windows operating system in a compact portable case for certain software that I use. Without spending too much money, this 12-inch Huawei tablet seemed to fit the bill. The device with the M5 processor was apparently the first version offered by the manufacturer. As some reviewers pointed out, this first proposal obviously had some quality control issues. In fact, the first device I ordered came with a completely non-working touchscreen, so I sent it back and ordered again. The second device came with a non-working fingerprint reader. Okay, that's just a trick; I can enter a PIN like any other device, so I saved it. The good thing is that for a 12-inch screen, it's light and thin compared to similar devices. Elegant and modern look. But that smoothness extends to the surface as well: Most tablets have textured or non-slip backs; this one is slippery like a fish. So if you hold it "naked" in your hands, you risk dropping it. I use mine on a desktop stand. The smoothness also has another downside: there are no ports other than USB-C, which is used for the charging cable, and a headphone jack. If you want to add other peripherals, you'll need the adapter cables or dock they sell for it, which kind of kills the slickness factor. Luckily, Bluetooth works great; I use a compact foldable bluetooth keyboard and a bluetooth mouse. As for the accessory case keyboard and stylus, I didn't buy them and I don't use them, so I can't comment. The screen is very bright and high-contrast, high-resolution and meets my needs. The battery charges in about 2 hours but only lasts 5 hours even with the undemanding single program I use it on. Overall, this 12-inch Huawei gives me what I wanted: lightweight, portable, minimal, and inexpensive ($350). when purchasing) compared to competitors. But if you need more functionality, use external devices, improve battery life, and more, you should probably save up for a new Surface.
