I have purchased and used many elastic cords over the years. Some of them were pretty decent, while others were junk that didn't survive a day, and some were downright dangerous to the user and those around them if they failed. This Master Lock 3039DAT CamLok Adjustable Steel Cable has been a buyback since I picked up the first two here at Revain a few years ago. Picked up other bungee cords at a bargain price but some of these have failed although still in use. ◆ Likes: + CamLok customization works well; easily adjustable from 8" to 40" + flat steel H-beam hook; much stronger than normal wire bungee hooks + high quality elasticity; stretches approximately 50% longer than loose length + PE coated hooks; won't scratch your gear◆ Dislikes: - Comes in a retail blister pack; cumbersome to open◆ To use: These were an easy choice based on years of past experience, but this time they were essential for use with the new Magna Cart hand truck where I was hauling heavy equipment long distances. These bungee cords are easy to adjust: simply place the fixed hood at one attachment point, pull to the desired length, and then attach the end of the CamLok to the other attachment point. A few firm tugs on the remaining cord pulls it tight and it won't slip off. I used a shorter Master Lock 3038DAT SteelCor 6-24" adjustable bungee cord on the rear rack of my mountain bike when transporting the photo. Transfers into the woods where no car could pass and there was never a problem with slipping. The key plus is that the hooks are strong enough not to bend, the cord doesn't lose its elasticity over time (like lower-end products), and they are easy to adjust.You can save money by purchasing an elastic cord set.It There are several in the pack and this is just one example of many on offer here but look closely at the pictures and you will see that most of them have wire hooks and will often bend with use If one does of them falters and fails, he can pose a danger to anyone who gets in his way if he flies away, and I have to admit it happened to me once when I was a n so useful product. It was a lesson well learned.◆ Summary: Master Lock 3039DAT CamLok Adjustable Steel Cable Bungee Cord is a product that has been in constant use for many years and as such I had no doubts that I would return and purchase more.
