I have been using these for years and from a production point of view they are just perfect as tablet liners. However, my cat has claws as sharp as a saber and invariably snaps them through fairly quickly (actually she snaps one at this point, I can hear it). However, I do not blame the manufacturer, but the claws. She's really working on these bags while my daughter's cat barely tears the litter box. So yes, I'd say they're sturdy enough for the average cat, but not for cats who think crate liners are their mortal enemies.
