Very convenient. on GPS, Finders & Accessories

It's much more comfortable than my old Vivoactive HR which died last summer after jumping in the lake too many times. Forerunner 245 Music tracks my activity when I remember to start and stop it on my watch. It would be great if activities such as a treadmill, elliptical trainer, indoor bike, indoor row, push-ups, etc. were automatically recognized. The good thing is that I usually memorize part of the session so I can start it mid-session and then come back to it. App to check time, distance etc. It's a bit expensive for what you get. I wanted a Vivoactive 3 Music but didn't like that the V3 had the bezel removed and the front glass raised, so I leaned towards the FR245M as soon as I saw it being announced. V3M, FR245M should include all the features of the latter and more! I was very disappointed that it didn't come with an altimeter and Garmin Pay. A game of golf would be nice too, but I'm not upset about that. The lack of an altimeter and Garmin Pay almost made me buy the FR645M, but I couldn't justify the extra $100 for a watch that lacks some of the FR245M's new features. Copying music to the FR245M using Garmin Express was a PIA. because most of my music is copied from my CD collection as .wma files. Music I downloaded in MP3 format streamed smoothly, but Garmin Express didn't rip WMA. Luckily, I found I could drag and drop WMA onto my FR245Ms using Windows Media Player. I'm VERY glad I paid the extra $50 for the music version of this watch. I didn't think it would make such a big difference, but it's so nice to practice listening to music without having the phone in your pocket. I am still very happy with my purchase.
