Works, needs 5 to 6 cups of coffee to get the right coffee to water ratio. Of course, the taste depends on the type of coffee used and you have to adjust the ratio for each brew/grind. It's very easy to clean. I usually brew in a French Press, but it's a hassle to clean. I have a Keurig, but I only drink coffee from it when I'm in a hurry. There are many types of expensive single-cup coffee makers, but I've found that spending a lot of money doesn't guarantee a great cup of coffee. The filter on this device is excellent and I have yet to see any clumps of coffee or debris on the bottom of the cup after drinking. I used to scour the internet for the holy grail of coffee makers, but becoming a coffee snob costs a lot of money. and procedures aimed at obtaining the perfect drink become ridiculous at a certain point. Also, after half an hour I can't remember if the coffee was great or bad quality.
