Review on Gardman 7622 Walk-In Greenhouse: Superior Shelving, Size 75" L x 49" W x 75" H by Chris Webb

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Perfect for our plants, so far so great!

My husband and I have aquired a green thumb over the past couple of years and this year, we wanted a small portable greenhouse to start seedlings and grow some herbs and veggies. It did take the 2 of us to build it, but that was just because of the size, it went together in under 15 minutes. It was leaning as our backyard does have a slope to it, but a piece of wood solved that issue. It has been up a couple of weeks and it has survived some nasty midwest storms since. Heavy rain and strong wind have not managed to rip it or bring it down. We did use the tent type tie downs and made sure it was all pulled tightly to prevent it from blowing away as some other reviews mentioned, but like I said, so far so great. I would give it 5 stars, but the shelves are a little on the chintzy side for us. Yes it holds small pots with basil and cilantro, but anything more and they would never work. We did zip tie them to the frame to give them more strength as just resting them on the frame would make you laugh. Overall, we are very satisfied and would make this purchase again. I will check back mid season to let you know how it is holding up, God-wiling it is still holding up, lol.

Pros
  • Can be used as a temporary emergency shelter
Cons
  • The structure can be noisy during windy weather

Ordered this greenhouse to place on my back porch to keep my larger pot plants in for the winter. After looking it over it was evident this greenhouse would not hold up due to the winds we receive in our area. Even with the protection on back porch, winds would have played havic with this
