I bought this watch for my husband who needed a new dive watch. I bought him a black dial with two straps: paracord and rubber. I must have read hundreds of reviews on 5 different brands (including automatic and solar powered dive watches) before deciding on this one. I found this particular watch to be practical and the best bang for your buck. In the reviews of this watch, I noticed that several people expressed concerns that they did not think this watch was suitable for actual diving. Public Notice - This watch is MADE FOR DIVING, not just to look cool. The watch has a screw-down crown and a screw-down case back, providing the necessary protection for use as a diving watch. My husband just snorkeled on the boat for a week. The clock worked perfectly. He used paracord throughout the trip and found that it dries quickly, doesn't smell bad, and feels comfortable throughout the trip. He didn't feel the need to switch to a rubber band.
