Very soft - almost like real cashmere
Although this type of synthetic material is called "cashmere", real imitation wool is easy to care for (from goat) due to its softness and appearance. This makes it inexpensive and mothproof. The colors are beautiful - muted and soft, almost like ice cream colors, but not as bright. Good length and width so it can be folded around the neck or carried on the shoulders. It was beautifully packaged in its own matte zip pouch and carefully placed in a box that would have made a great gift. I am very happy with it.
