Made of very hard plastic. When I first used this I hit the top of my foot which hurt a lot. The second time I used it, I hit the same spot again and got a small cut. The suction is really great but it's hard to get it out of the tub. I like it to hang upright after use to prevent mold from growing on the suction cups. The bristles in the toe area are worn out and probably won't even last a month. Pumice does nothing. It feels almost flat and smooth but does absolutely nothing for my heels. But it cleans my feet, even between my toes. A definite improvement would be to make the base out of silicone instead of hard plastic. Also, I don't need a useless pumice stone. I have an electric saw that I use several times a week.
