Review on Hudson Durable Goods Cross Back Adjustable Apron: Practicality and Versatility Combined by Tim Wheeler

This was my first shop apron and I got it in 2016 for use in my workshop (Woodworking).The waxed canvas material is definitely durable yet flexible and comfortable to wear all day in the garage.I have no doubt that if cared for this apron can last a lifetime.I am 6'3", weigh 220 pounds and the apron fits me. The top of the apron is at the collarbone and the bottom is about 4 inches above the knees. No issues with comfort, boarding etc. Thought I'd share a few lessons I learned in case someone else ends up in the same boat. 1) Would I buy the Hudson Durable Goods apron again? Absolutely! Would I buy the same apron again? No, I would buy one of the other models (reasons below) 2) Looking back, I don't know why I chose a black sawdust apron! He shows the sawdust like crazy. See fig. Note that it looks like this after 4+ years of use and the only 'cleaning' it has seen is vacuuming several times. You can see the color difference between the front and back of the apron. If I bought it again, I would choose brown. 2) I bought the cheapest model which doesn't have buckles/clips on the straps so the apron has to be tied behind the back. Didn't find it much and used it like that for quite a while but the apron kept coming off over time. I finally got fed up and ordered 3 packs of .75" wide dual adjustable clips/clasps for about $6. The problem is solved! Now I can just put the apron on and get to work and it will stay in place until I unclip the clip. Apron. see fig @HUDSON DURABLE GOODS - why not buckle all aprons? 3) I bought the cheapest model which doesn't have a flap/lid over the two outside pockets. The problem is that over time you end up with dust/garbage in your pockets. This is especially true when you are working with woodworking power tools that spray fine dust at you, such as B. a table saw. I guess it's more annoying. shop vac I just vacuum my pockets too. If I had to buy another apron I would buy one that has flaps over the pockets. I hope the above is useful/useful information for others.
