So far, so good. It will sit pretty low. So if you're using body armor and a combat belt, it could compromise some of your pockets behind you. I picked mine up and attached it to the shoulder straps so it sits high. But it is with straps. It doesn't fit the AR500 Veritas license plate bracket, but I got it running at 500mph with some zip ties and tape. The zip part fits very well with the Qore ice plate hydration system. The smaller zippered pocket is quite roomy. You could fit 8 magazines and some snacks/dips in it if you need it.
