I've been into numeric keyboards since the 80's. As an author, I often need to enter a few special characters by holding down the Alt key on my keyboard and typing a number on the number pad. I first had a keyboard and had to start learning how to use the function key and type a combination of letters to replace the number pad. Well, I was fed up with it because it's not intuitive and very inconvenient, so I bought a numeric keypad. In short, she has no connection between the keyboard and the number pad. Even functional things. Unless you're just getting it for entering numbers and don't need integration, don't bother getting it.
