No seriously I want it to actually pick up dust. My biggest problem with the grinder is that it hardly picks up any dust. Before you think, no, that's not my vacuum cleaner. I have a large shop vacuum (have even tried a couple and a dust bag), lots of suction when not plugged into this thing, and yes, the holes in the sandpaper line up with the pad. I checked all the hose connections and everything else I could think of - the orbital head works great and removes material quickly, but as soon as you break contact with the surface all the dust (that wasn't sucked into the vacuum) blows off. everywhere by a fan on the engine head. . It literally blows dust across the room for you. The triangle vibrator worked a little better, but it's still far from dust-free. Another thing that could become a problem in the future is the gearing of the shaft connecting the motor and vibrator. There is a plastic sleeve which is almost worn out after 4 hours of use. They send a few extras with the kit but I have a feeling they do it for a reason! Besides, it's hard. It's all 8 pounds and you keep that 8 pounds at the end of the stick. Drywall is part of my job and I've sanded a lot of ceilings. My shoulders are used to it, but if you don't you often set yourself up for a grueling shoulder workout! Overall, it costs no money and is just as dusty as hand sanding. I returned it.
