Review on Indulge in Caswell-Massey Heritage Tricorn Bar Soap - 5.8 Ounce Luxe Soap for Superior Pampering by Priscilla Webster

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I love Caswell Massey soaps.

I am obsessed with soap. I have an entire closet dedicated to my soap collection. This set was the first Caswell Massey set I bought. Your soap has everything I'm looking for in a bar of soap. I tend to judge nude soap on 5 aspects. I can use this bar as both a face and body wash. Physical Shape & Size: The bar shape is easy to hold, with no angular edges to glide effortlessly through all the curves and nooks and crannies of your body. It's the perfect size for your hand, yet big enough to go weeks (if not months) without replacing. Lather Properties: The bar lathers very well with a thick, creamy lather that doesn't leave your skin greasy or feeling like there's anything else on it. I would also like to point out that foam is just as good in a cold shower as it is in a warm one. I realized this doesn't necessarily apply to all soap bars, so I thought I'd mention it. , the aroma is of high quality and is evenly distributed throughout the bar. It leaves a light, clean scent on your skin, not like you've just sprayed yourself with perfume, cologne, or other scented oils. Caswell-Massey offers a wide range of quality fragrances. This particular set is more masculine, but I'll talk about scents later. Moisturized Skin: I have a normal skin type and tend to be oily in the T-zone of the face. I also live in the desert, so even with normal skin hydration I have to be extra careful about how soaps and lotions moisturize the skin. Unfortunately, despite the high prices and brands, many soaps dry out the skin. This is not the case with Caswell-Massey bar soap. That creamy lather, mentioned earlier, leaves my skin feeling smooth without cracking, flaking, or white flaking. Most of the time I don't need lotion after showering. Soap Quality: This almost goes without saying as I've gone through all of the above. Besides scent integrity, lather and creaminess, I judge the quality of a soap by how well (and how long) it lasts. Of course, size is always a factor here, but I've found that better quality soap wears out slower than soap made with cheap ingredients. I'm impressed with how long the 5.8 ounce bars last. And while it's hard to tell since soap consumption varies from person to person, let's just say I wash very thoroughly, shower longer, and make sure my whole body is perfectly clean. This soap lasts longer than most. Having put aside my five criteria for judging a bar of soap, I wanted to mention the scents that came with the presidential set. I will not repeat descriptions of Caswell Massey fragrances as they are intended to be read with the product. I will try to describe them in simple lay terms. Incidentally, the soap is packed in a high-quality box with a beautiful description page - stylish and great as a gift. Heritage Jockey Club is a classic fragrance for men. The scent reminds me of my childhood when we went to special occasions like weddings or funerals. Places where the men who weren't my family would need to take extra time to be respectfully clean and presentable (without removing the perfume) among other men, women, and children. Legacy Number Six is my favorite. It's kind of a generic soapy scent that means clean to me. The description lists notes of neroli, rosemary, bergamot, musk, amber and dry rose. While I have no doubt that there are oils in the soap and perhaps something a person with a more keen sense of smell would smell, I still only detect very slight notes of musk and light amber and of course rose. This fragrance is the smell of fresh cleaning that you love to snuggle up to. Warm, protective and familiar. Century Almond Cold Cream & Aloe Vera seemed to morph into a traditional feminine scent at first, but after using it I was pleasantly surprised at its neutral scent upon use. Although the soap smells like the macaroons my grandma used to bake, the cream and aloe scent accompanies me when I get out of the shower. This is a light, fresh scent of professional grooming, whether it's a hairdresser, salon or spa.
