I've had my bag in a burning AZ for a month now, they still keep the bags. I have never strapped bags to a bike to date, and even then they don't wear out when hit with air and wind. You haven't gotten wet yet, and that's going to be a real challenge. Otherwise these are great bags. They fit the HD 883 well enough for the passenger to be able to rest his feet on the footrests.
