Review on 🐈 Smart Scoop Self-Cleaning Litter Box by Pet Zone - No Expensive Refills, Easy Waste Disposal for Cats, Compatible with Clumping Cat Litter by Lois Dennis

Awarded with the right expectation

After reading dozens of reviews of various automatic toilets, I decided to purchase the Pet Zone Smart Scoop. My kitten is 7 pounds and she goes about her business often due to a recent illness. I'm just tired of cleaning up behind her several times a day. BUT that doesn't mean "set and forget". I don't know how you can empty it once a week. I do it every other day. However, it is less of a headache when you think about cleaning it. it does 80% of the work. Before you buy this tray, please note: - SIZE. it is not small. We installed it in an unused chimney (there is no gas line here!), only the green light emits the box inside the chimney. I'm not sure why any of the youtube reviews suggest for cats under 8lbs. Lots of space inside. - The BOX has high sides, but I've heard that some cats (especially males) aim upwards. Consider this.- ENTRY. I switched from clay to Garfield's All Natural, Flushable, Ultra Clumping Litter (Large). You can use any clumping litter, but clay was too heavy. I use a thin plastic bag from the supermarket as a trash can. TIP: I add activated charcoal to the bin to minimize the smell of trash AND a litter mat on the way out. not loud at all. just a buzz during the cleaning process. - MANUAL CLEANING is necessary as the rake does not touch the bottom and walls of the tray. Once a day I run the included "shovel" along the floor and toggle the button off/on (immediately starts the cleaning process). There is no one perfect automatic toilet. You still have some work to do. Not 5 stars because the rake's "teeth" can be tight. it's only good for big clumps.Recommended! Much luck!
