I can't say enough about neem and how many wonderful uses it has. But it's not just a toothpowder - it also contains xylitol, probiotics (in the form of S. Saliverus K12 and vitamin D). Go ahead and google Streptococcus saliverus K12 - you will see that there are a few studies showing that this is an excellent oral health probiotic that has a number of health benefits including preventing plaque from sticking to the mouth teeth – a special advantage for me . . . In addition, it does not contain fluoride, glycerin, etc. As a child, I sometimes used tooth powder, so this tooth powder is not suitable for me. I think people who are really used to toothpaste might need a little adjustment. This stuff foams, but it doesn't have the same mouthfeel as toothpaste, and it probably feels weird sprinkling powder onto a wet toothbrush and then expecting your teeth to come clean. But they will end up clean! It's obviously the taste of cinnamon, and to me, at least, it's delicious! Better than any toothpaste I've used - I'm really looking forward to it. I have my kids on this stuff and they love it too. And like most kids, if something doesn't taste good, they don't go near it. The downside, however, is the small bottle. It only takes a few squirts and you're good to brush your teeth, but if you're expecting a lot of product you'll be disappointed. The bottle itself says it lasts for around 200 brushings, which seems right (but note I'm not sure if you brush your teeth twice a day, the probiotics will be active after 100 days). Finally, Revain's price is a bit higher than many other sites if you shop around. I'm a Prime member so the free shipping really makes the difference, but others may be better off elsewhere. In any case, it's great stuff and I'm now experimenting with combining it with Coral Toothpaste (also fluoride and glycerine free). . So far, so good. POST SCENARIO - 12/11/2014 - Well, a few weeks ago I had an appointment at the dentist. Mine usually last a long time - I have a lot of dirt on my teeth. At this time. Nothing. Hygienists have nothing to do. The dentist came - poked around a bit - said "everything is fine". Did. I came and went in 1/2 hour - a record. So now I swear by this stuff. POST SCENARIO - 05/21/2015 - Teeth whiter than ever. Some of the old stains I had forever are gone. Dental visits are shorter than ever. That's great.
