When I'm sick or overworked I get cold sores or blisters in my mouth. I feel like it's happening and if I use it in time it will prevent the breakthrough, if I don't use it in time it will shorten the duration and severity of the breakthrough. I highly recommend if Abreva doesn't work for you because it doesn't work for me either. It's cheaper and way better! The price is better than in store. This is a great lip balm so I bought three packs. Have been using it for over 15 years
