Soft and flexible = seal is not airtight
I bought these on purpose as they were designed to seal small (as well as standard sized) cat food jars. They work, but because they're soft and flexible, they can fall off this little tin. When I ordered I didn't know they were soft cases. At first I didn't think I could use them. Harder plastic caps provide a tighter fit. However, they are easy to use and I haven't had any issues despite the seal being loose. In fact, I'm more likely to reach for my tall jars than my old hard plastic lids.
