Review on 🔧 Versatile and Durable Pelican 1040 Micro Case: Black/Clear (Model: 1040-025-100) by Walter Velasquez

I love these cases. I bought several of these (1010, 1020, 1040 and 1050) and converted the 1040 into a hard carrying case for a diabetic kit (glucometer, test strips, pen needles, lancets, alcohol wipes and an insulin pen). I removed the rubber insert and lined both halves with sticky velcro, then attach a small tab of the opposite velcro to each piece. Works like clockwork - everything stays in place, everything comes in one small package and I don't have to worry about my stuff getting crushed when I travel. Size 1040 is perfect for a pair of Altoid sized lenses side by side (insert removed). Glass jars are very suitable for storing needles and lancets that will be used for about a week. The case closes securely and is almost indestructible. Has a loop for a belt or nylon cord and a carabiner. I think on some models you can even attach a small lock. I would caution against submerging the cases in water for any length of time - I think they are more for water protection than to protect your sensitive electronics from full submersion. I think they float, so that's a bonus too.
