Not what I expected. Must be paired with a phone. Instructions are not easy to follow. The sound quality is also not very good. I haven't given it to my granddaughter yet but I see it being thrown away pretty quickly. I changed my rating to 4 stars after gifting it to my granddaughter. We figured out how to play the music (I still find the instructions really bad), but it's a lot better than I originally thought. She is 7 years old and seems to like them even though her mother said she would send them to my house. Rschunimagu
