I've learned that not all smart LED bulbs are the same, and neither are the applications they control. These lamps are controlled via the Smart Life app. Initially I was happy with this because I already had an outlet using the same app. Worry less about apps! However, I am disappointed with the light control of the app. While you can schedule the lights to turn on or off, you can't control the color and brightness during the scheduled turn on. It turns on the light with the last set color and brightness. Also, when creating a group of multiple lights, it's practically necessary that you schedule all the lights to turn on and off at the same time, otherwise the application will get confused and stop treating them as a group. Also, it seems that you can't use Stage or Music mode with a group of lights, only with a single light. I have another issue and I'm not sure if it's an issue with the bulbs themselves or with the app, is that while they claim to be able to be set to any color, it's really difficult if not impossible to they get colors just right. Choosing the darkest blue on the color wheel makes the light more purple, even closer to purple. And I didn't get a light green color either. I like that the lightbulbs are nice and bright, but that's not enough to make up for the app's shortcomings.
