I couldn't get it to work on a Raspberry Pi 3 with the latest Raspbian. It shows a thumbnail in the top corner of the screen, regardless of the settings in the config.txt, which have an effect but don't solve the problem. Ironically, the touchscreen works without drivers. The image provided is an older version of Raspbian and will not fit an 8GB card. The display works great as a secondary monitor with my MacBook Pro and with a normally headless Linux server. But for the Pi (which recognizes most other HDMI displays just fine) it was a gigantic waste of time and money. There's no reason to mess around with that fake display when the real Waveshare display isn't worth it anymore.
