Review on 🔌 Chef Buddy 82 2005 Electric Warming Plate by Alex Jones

I have ordered (2) of this item. When they arrived I examined them immediately. One was in perfect condition, the other was not. There were several nicks on the finished surface of the panel that were clearly created during the manufacturing process. See photos. My conclusion is that there is little to no quality control in the manufacture and packaging of this product. It cannot be that a product with such damage has ever left the manufacturer. So buyers beware! UPDATED after use: These items are actually dangerous! Stone slabs are NOT fixed in a plastic case. This isn't so bad if you're only heating and using one plate at a time, but if you're following the included instructions for heating two such plates, they must be placed facing each other. The stones should be facing and in contact with each other. This seems normal until you try to separate the two builds after they get hot. It doesn't work without thumbtacks or the like, and even then the top assembly will fall apart. Just very embarrassing, and I was also very afraid that a stone would fall on my foot. Due to my issues I have set these items aside and will only use them when needed. And I should point out that they don't seem to hold the heat very long. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a similar item that has the stone and holder connected together. Despite this, the product is still functional. My problem is related to the appearance of the product. The People of the Nebula would not like to put this obviously damaged product on their dinner table. I've considered returning this damaged product but it's more trouble than it's worth. Also, it took 13 days for the product to arrive and I don't want to wait that long to get a replacement product. Bottom line, the product would have been a welcome addition to my kitchen if it weren't for your cosmetic facial damage.
