I got my first burner for Christmas and was very happy with it (left plate in the photo). It looked exactly like the picture on the web and worked very well, holding the temperature for 20 minutes or more (using the recommended flat bottom plate). I chose a different one and ordered a second one with the exact same order number (right panel) and received an item with a white stone of a different density. I have ordered (2) of this item. When they arrived I examined them immediately. One was in perfect condition, the other was not. There were several nicks on the finished surface of the panel that were clearly created during the manufacturing process. See photos. My conclusion is that there is little to no quality control in the manufacture and packaging of this product. It cannot be that a product with such damage has ever left the manufacturer.
